Spring Fling Fine Arts Show and Sale

Gateway Arts Council partners with the Shelby County Historical Society to mount an exhibit of fine artworks by area artists and Shelby County students in the Ross Historical Center, Sidney. The show is judged by two independent judges and cash awards are announced during the opening dessert reception. Spring Fling Fine Arts Show and Sale 2007 opens with a fund-raising Dessert Reception and will run for three weeks. Classes of third graders from Shelby County schools will tour the exhibit with trained volunteer docents. They will also see artists at work.

The Minster Bank Best of Show Award is $500. Category first prizes are $300 each; second prizes, $200 each; third prizes, $100 each; and a Purchase Award for a piece to be displayed at the Gateway Arts Council office.

Spring Fling Fine Arts Show and Sale 2007 will be held March 31, 2007 to April 20, 2007. Exhibit times will be 1-5 p.m., Mondays through Fridays; 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturdays; 1-4 p.m., Sundays; 1-8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, and Thursday April 19. Closed Easter weekend.
