History
Celebrating its twelfth year, the Spring Fling Fine Art Exhibit is widely known as the area’s premiere art show. Over the years, this juried event has been patronized by hundreds of artists and thousands of fine art supporters. The Gateway Arts Council see growth in talent each year, and entries are received from near and far. A fine art professional is chosen to be the adjudicator of the show. One of the show’s great traditions is its awards reception, which is free to participating artists. Docent-led tours also take place for area third graders, during which the third graders are taught the elements of art and principles of design through viewing the show, and have the privilege of seeing an artist at work. |
